I really don’t know how to put into words what Jason Ankeny has done for my family. It was nothing short of life saving. My wife and I got married in 2008. I am an American citizen and my wife is from Mexico. When we first married, we decided to live in Mexico for a year or so. I commuted back and forth every week to my job in Los Angeles. During this time my wife became pregnant and we contacted a local attorney to help process my wife’s paperwork to legally enter the United States. At the time Jason was working as an immigration paralegal for the attorney.
Unfortunately, we found out our baby would be born with such serious complications he would likely not live long. We then decided to return immediately to the United States where we felt he would have a better chance. Jason helped us every step of the way. When I called the office, we were informed of our options. During a conference call, Jason said he will do everything possible to make sure our baby was born in a hospital in the United States that could give our baby a better chance. The hospital was Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. We prayed for a miracle and it came to us through Jason. It might seem dramatic but because of his help my son had a fighting chance.
After Jonathan was born, he went through more than 30 surgeries to keep him alive. He was hospitalized the first 10 months of his life and we lived with unbelievable stress. But none of our stress was due to immigration issues. Jason called constantly to follow up on my son’s condition. We received many miracles and much love, which has kept our son alive and with us today. It all started with Jason on the other end of the line. Thank you Jason.
If you are interested in my son’s story, read about it here. All of this would not have been possible first without his help. He was not only good at his work, but a person who really cared. He did not just see my wife and I as mere clients, but as personal friends and a family in need of his help.
